An idea hit me today. I haven't seen this before, but surely someone else has tried this too. I picked up some Ivory Flower Soft today. I would love to get more colors, but the price adds up so quickly. Then it occured to me to try to custom color it. Guess what? It works! I put some of the Ivory in a small container with a few drops of different alcohol based ink refills. I used Copic ink, Papertrey Pallette ink, and Tim Holtz Alcohol ink. All if them had nice coverage. And now I have colors that match my projects! Here's a photo:

Bag Challenge
When I read about Nichole's challenge, I knew right away what I wanted to make. I decided to keep it simple, in a paper grocery bag style. But I don't usually sew. So that in itself was a challenge!
I cut white muslin using my rectangle scalloped Nestibilites. I lined up all the quilt squares on one block and stamped them using Noir Pallette ink. I added color in the square using my Copics in a spring color scheme. I also went over white ribbon with my pink Copic to make it match. Here's my finished mini bag. It's about big enough to hold a bar of soap. Thanks for looking!

Must stop...
...painting houses. Tiny little houses that is. I'm having too much fun with these. I sneak off to the craft room in 5 minute breaks when I can. And I have several little houses painted now. These are from PTI's Boards & Beams set. I even got a couple of color swatches for hose paint colors at Wal-mart today for more inspiration. Really must stop...no, really. I have so much other work I need to do first...

Thank You Card
This one uses Kraft paper from Papertrey Ink, that I embossed with the Cuttlebug. I ran across the dots with Robins egg blue pigment ink. The flower center is SU, with ink and marker. I added a dew drop center. The sentiment is from PTI's Bee set, and the ribbon is vintage bias tape I picked up at a garge sale last weekend. Just wait until you see what else I got!
